Brief History

The Lottie McKoy Ministries was birthed in 1998. Before the birth of the Lottie McKoy Ministries, Inc. Dr. Lottie J. McKoy, evangelized and served as assistant pastor of St. Matthew Church. Dr. McKoy was later installed as senior pastor of St. Matthew Church, by her father, the late Pastor. Donnie Johnson, Sr., she served in that capacity for 16 years, after her tenure there, Dr. McKoy's pastoral journey relocated her to Whiteville, North Carolina where she continued to pastor for several years. The Lottie McKoy Ministries was birthed in obedience to the Holy Spirit a platform for her to obey God as he directs her in fulfilling her destiny.

     Dr. Lottie J. McKoy

Dr. Lottie J. McKoy is the founding visionary of the Lottie McKoy Ministries Outreach. She has been committed to preaching the gospel for over 4 decades. Dr. McKoy walks in the Apostolic Anointing with a resounding and apostolic voice. Her messages and experiences make for an atmosphere that unfailingly captives her audience as she conveys spiritual relevance and practical application that liberates the lives of those that come in contact with her. She is anointed in the prophetic as she speaks into the lives of others. Dr. McKoy is known for her "Power Hour Impartation Conference Call", where she has invested obedience unto God for 9 years in carrying out her teaching assignment on "Believer's Financial Inheritance". Many are blessed by her daily Facebook post under the topic, YOUR THOUGHT FOR THE DAY. Her strong faith and Christian values were inspired by her parents, the late Pastor Donnie Johnson, Sr., and Sis. Adell Johnson. Dr. McKoy is a member of C.L.U.R.T. International Assemblies, where she serves under the leadership of the renowned Bishop Dr. George B. Bloomer. Dr.​ McKoy lives an honorable reputation of faith, love, character, and integrity

Dr. McKoy's qualifications include healthcare professional services (social caseworker, group home manager, and behavioral therapist). She has also worked as a  receptionist, teacher's assistant, and college recruiter. Dr. McKoy has extensive training in various areas of mental and behavioral disorders, along with, state certification, in medication administration. She has an Associate of Applied Science degree (A.A.S.) in office administration from Bladen Community College, Dublin, North Carolina. In addition, she crossed the bridge from student to a two-time graduate of Carolina College of Biblical Studies, Fayetteville, North Carolina where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) in biblical studies and her Masters of Arts degree (M.Min.) in ministry. Dr. McKoy is seminary trained. Driven by her can-do attitude, she was interested in obtaining further knowledge of God's word and with that being said, she earned her Doctorate of Theology (Th.D) in Christian theology from International Bible College and Seminary, Independence, Missouri. Her hobbies include listening to music, dancing, traveling, and bringing laughter to others.

 

She was born to the parents of Donnie and Adell Johnson which produced 13 children, seven sons (7) and six (6) daughters. Dr. McKoy is the 12th child out of 13 siblings, making her the knee-baby of the family. The number 12 is significant in many instances throughout the word of God. Her life includes a wide range of history, wisdom, knowledge, suffering, and experiences. Dr. McKoy is known by some as a "Gentle Giant". She is the proud mother of 2 sons; one son a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, and one son a graduate of Winston-Salem State University. Dr. McKoy is the grandmother of 2 amazing grandsons; one a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill and Kenan Business School, and one grandson is a rising junior at Columbia University. She is a mother, god-mother, confidant, classmate, friend, and sister. Professionally, Dr. McKoy is a visionary, mentor, community leader, preacher, teacher, conference host and speaker, founder/CEO, revivalist, spiritual counselor, and entrepreneur.
